The city of Thousand Oaks is situated in the southeastern part of Ventura County, thirty-nine miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. Picturesque beaches are just a pleasant twelve miles southwest. Thousand Oaks offers its citizens excellent community values and quality of life, a progressive government, and economic vitality. For outdoor recreation I can recommend a number of roadways, bike paths and hiking trails through the Santa Monica Mountains. A comprehensive general plan established in the city's early years has contributed to one of the strongest planning programs in the state and has stimulated controlled, yet balanced growth to maintain a pleasing area for people to work, play and live. The city of Camarillo is east of Thousand Oaks, with about 61,500 residents, area is 18.9 square miles, rolling hills, strawberry fields galore, and a thriving business Community. Camarillo’s location halfway between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles puts visitors and residents close to a multitude of wonderful places, attractions and activities. Outdoor lovers have easy access to the Pacific Ocean, Channel Islands National Park, the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, and Los Padres National Forest. The city of Simi Valley is located at the edge of eastern Ventura County encircled by beautiful hills. Simi Valley is a haven away from the congestion of Los Angeles County. Many who have moved to Simi Valley from the San Fernando Valley, like the fact the city is safe and clean, with lots of parks and activities for people of all ages.
